Welcome to the Lakes Road Club. The “Lakes” is a friendly cycling club of keen cyclists who enjoy all forms of cycling in the beautiful Lake District and often beyond.
The Club meets regularly throughout the week with activities ranging from social “no drop” rides through to competitive rides up to national level. Our Junior section meet once a week and have lots of fun both indoors, and outdoors learning bike handling skills off road.
The Club is proud to be associated with the Fred Whitton Challenge – an epic sportive, which has raised over £2.2M for local charities, and is organised in honour of Fred, a former member of the Club. We also organise The Struggle Hill Climb, and the Ulverston Circuit Road Race.
