The Struggle Hill Climb – LAKES ROAD CLUB

The sun shone on all the riders that took part in the 2025 Hill Climb.

A glorious day for a glorious climb out of Ambleside and up The Struggle. 60+ riders geared up for a horrific time on Sunday 21st September 2025. They came and they conquered, and in doing so, raised funds for the Great North West Air Ambulance.

It was fantastic to see so many returning faces, and great to see strong representation from the youth, junior and female categories – including our youngest ever competitor (8 years old!).

The event was once against sponsored by our good friends at Wheelbase, with prizes gifted from The Fred Whitton Challenge, AeroFin Performance, Lakes Leisure, and Voom Nutrition. Thanks to our partners in crime who help the Lakes Road Club stage this wonderful event: Team Fred Whitton, Barrow Central Wheelers, Cold Dark North, Ambleside Rugby Club, and all the wonderful volunteers who give of their time freely and supporters on the course shouting words of encouragement and ringing cow bells.
