Membership

We’re a welcoming local cycling club offering group rides for a range of abilities. Our members ride competitively, for fitness, for friendship and for fun!

You’ll enjoy our rides if you can:

• ride confidently on the road and follow basic group-riding etiquette;
• cycle distances of 40 miles at a steady pace;
• use gears and brakes confidently including on hills;
• ride safely in traffic and follow instructions

Our membership fees are set out below. Payment can be made via Spond or via the British Cycling website.

Junior (0-16)	£5

Lakes Road Club is protected by public liability insurance from British Cycling.  Individual riders are responsible for their own safety and require their own cover which can be purchased through a variety of providers such as British Cycling, Cycling UK, or other personal activity insurance brokers.

Non members are welcome to join the rides for a maximum of three rides.  After that, you are required to join the club for British Cycling insurance requirements.
